Serendipity in Art

On International Women’s Day – 8th March, this year, I was invited to be part of a wonderful evening. Live performances of art and music brought together by 4 ladies – Serendipity, who want to give to a worthy cause. The cause was Prashanti Cancer Care’s Food Bank Initiative – ensuring that underprivileged recovering patients get healthy food to eat while they might not even be in a position to elk out their daily bread. The artists were musicians and painters, and of course I was one of the latter.

But serendipitously, it all just came together, I was satisfied and my painting actually looked the way I had envisioned it, which to be very honest, isn’t always the case. And all that within 2 hours and a bit. The painting was later auctioned off. Unfortunately I don’t have a very good picture of it, but here it is. And this is the press write-up.

Nothing like enjoying yourself thoroughly while feeling like you’ve ‘given’.
