Adam Pekalski

Another wonderful illustrator I just came across. Adam Pekalski is Polish artist, now living in Turkey. He works in a variety of distinctly different styles, that are still oddly Adam Pekalskisimilar. I don’t understand the language but I can tell that he has a quirky sense of humor and a story in every picture. It’s a nice simple, uncluttered site that shows up his work beautifully. If there’s a problem I have with it, is there’s just no information on the art – what each piece was done for, or in what medium. Two things I love to know. He also does some beautifully illustrated maps, see here and here – for National Geographic Traveler, if I understand right. I’m still in the process of scanning his blog for more information, but Google Translate doesn’t do a very coherent job. Do visit anyway, it’s well worth it!
